Kindly let me know that how to stop this error in my cisco switch. I think the change confused my router.Īnyway, I'm wondering what I should do.is the card bad.do I need to take it out and see if there is an address listed on it.should I just change it to some other value? I'm open to suggestions - this is kind of a weird thing and I'm not sure what the implications are.I've 4500 switch & getting the below error on gig 3/1 where my VM ware server is connected(VM ware is installed in HP platform). I tried changing it to 11-11-11-11-11-11 and that worked but I lost my internet connection. If I look at the properties and click the advanced tab, I have the option of setting a value for "NetworkAddress". The card is listed as SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter. I tried changing the MAC address (I have the option to do so when I go into properties on the network card).
This is invalid, right? What does this mean? My network connection seems to work fine, but I do have some intermittent connection issues and I'm wondering if this could be related.
